SSHA

I’m frantically* packing right now to travel to Chicago tomorrow evening. On Wednesday, I’m attending a workshop at Northwestern on Fiscal Sociology led by Monica Prasad and Isaac Martin. On Thursday, through Saturday, I’ll be attending the Social Science History Association’s annual conference. If you’re attending the conference, say hello! I’m not presenting, so I’m hoping the trip will be more relaxing than most conferences. Also, I hear SSHA is a fun and relaxed conference (as compared to ASA), so hopefully that will pan out. I might update from the conference, depending on internet availability, and perhaps even tweet!

See you in Chicago!

*Well, lethargically really, it’s been a long day of writing of about Polanyi’s notion of embeddedness (and specifically, how he didn’t have one, at least in The Great Transformation. I even snuck a Borges quote in.
