Brief update from ASA.
The registration booths look identical to those at Origins. Otherwise, the two conferences have only most things in common. More emphasis on the parties, also, people actually pay attention at the sessions (at least a little).
The scatter party last night was fantastic. Tina wins the friendliest Scatterplotter award for sure, and not only because she ruthlessly enacted the best norm ever (but that definitely helped). Also, mad props (so to speak) to Anomie for being a superlative social coordinator.
